Recently we were invited to Dragonfly Play and Learn and congratulated Emma on completing her CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, a special visit where we also looked at the terrific Indoor and Outdoor settings.
We could really see how Emma has been supporting children to appreciate and care for the environment. This is not a new concept. A respected educator, one that many of us follow her publications Anne Stonehouse wrote, back in 2006:
“One of the most significant responsibilities that [early childhood] professionals have is to support children to retain the sense of awe and wonder that they are born with, to add to that a desire to nurture and protect what is beautiful, and to encourage them to appreciate that there are many possibilities for honouring life and wonders that the world holds.”
Well done Emma and the rest of the Team at Dragonfly Play and Learn!
We also enjoyed reading your service philosophy, check out more about Dragonfly on https://dragonflyplayandlearn.com/when-where
Rowe Training acknowledges the Larrakia People as Traditional Owners of the Darwin Region and as we share our knowledge of teaching and learning may we also pay respect to their cultures and Elders past, present and emerging and extend this respect to any other Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples living, working or studying in the Northern Territory.
